Angelina Jolie Interested in Maleficent

She'd like to play the villain...

Accprding to a report, Angelina Jolie is interested in the title role in Maleficent, the upcoming Tim Burton/Disney film based on Sleeping Beauty, only from the point of view of the villain.

Linda Woolverton (Alice in Wonderland) is writing the film, and although Burton has not yet signed on he has not committed to a project yet. Jolie has taken an active interest in the project, and sources say her involvement may well hinge on Burton's. Jolie has nothing lined up after The Tourist.

I heard this just this morning ! I THINK IT WOULD BE TERRIFIC. but I can never imagine her as a Disney character, it's so awkward. but I'm so happy for her if she does continue in this project, I just feel very bad about her working ALL THE TIME ! she still has upcoming movies and it's sad to know she has another one coming. but well, she's an actress and actresses gotta do what they do.
